Overview

This page outlines the general licensing terms and copyright statement for all content and images by Scott W. Coleman. Unless a specific license agreement has been issued, these terms apply to all use of my work. I assert and reserve all rights under U.S., German, and international copyright laws, including moral rights where applicable.

General Copyright Statement

All images, text, and content appearing on this website or distributed by me are protected under copyright law. No image may be copied, saved, downloaded, shared, reproduced, published, redistributed, or otherwise used in any form—digital or physical—without a valid, written license agreement.

Usage Without License

No personal, editorial, commercial, nonprofit, social media, or other use is permitted without an explicit license. This includes screenshots, thumbnails, and AI training datasets. No exceptions.

Attribution

All uses, including licensed editorial usage, must include clear attribution: Photo: Scott W. Coleman. Moral rights are asserted under German and international law.

U.S. Legal Penalties

Under U.S. law, copyright infringement may result in damages of $750 to $30,000 per image, or up to $150,000 per image for willful infringement. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provides for additional penalties of up to $25,000 for removal of metadata or copyright management information (CMI).

In Germany and the European Union, damages are pursued under local law, including license-value compensation (fiktive Lizenz), injunctive relief, and cost reimbursement. Cease-and-desist letters (Abmahnung) may be issued in response to infringements.

Diese Seite beschreibt die allgemeinen Lizenzbedingungen und Urheberrechtshinweise für alle Inhalte und Bilder von Scott W. Coleman. Sofern keine individuelle Lizenzvereinbarung getroffen wurde, gelten diese Bedingungen für alle Nutzungen. Alle Rechte werden nach deutschem, US-amerikanischem und internationalem Urheberrecht geltend gemacht – einschließlich der Urheberpersönlichkeitsrechte (moral rights).

Verwendung ohne Lizenz

Jegliche Nutzung von Bildern – sei es privat, redaktionell, kommerziell oder gemeinnützig – ist ohne ausdrückliche, schriftliche Lizenz untersagt. Dies gilt auch für Screenshots, Thumbnails und die Nutzung für KI-Trainingsdaten. Keine Ausnahmen.

Alle Nutzungen müssen eine eindeutige Urheberangabe enthalten: Foto: Scott W. Coleman. Die Urheberpersönlichkeitsrechte werden ausdrücklich vorbehalten.

Rechtliche Hinweise

In Deutschland und der Europäischen Union werden Urheberrechtsverletzungen nach geltendem Recht verfolgt. Dies umfasst Ansprüche auf fiktive Lizenzgebühren, Unterlassung, Schadenersatz sowie Kostenerstattung. Im Falle einer Verletzung kann eine Abmahnung erfolgen.
